Lights, Camera, Action! is the sixth title in the Angelina Ballerina collection--the delicate little mouse who loves to dance has come a long way. The latest collection includes four animated stories that feature the usual lessons of friendship, teamwork and forgiveness that Angelina fans have come to expect. In addition, there is the featurette Little Stars (executive produced by HIT Entertainment's Madeleine Warburg and directed by Lorne Maggory), which uses students from the Royal Academy of Dance in London. Narrated by Angelina herself, the featurette has two live action segments: "Teamwork" features young ballerinas in the corps de ballet where "you do things together you can't do on your own," and "Dancing Like Birds" shows dancer Charlotte acting like a hummingbird, Tony like a peacock and Anastasia doing the stork walk. Additionally, a 14-minute dance class, executive produced by HIT's Madeleine Warburg and directed by Lorne Maggory, is included. It kicks off with simple ballet arrangements such as Positions of the Feet and Tendus at the Barre and then moves into more complicated routines like Changements and Pirouettes. It contains some confusing ballet terms, but it's mostly an easy class for little girls to follow along, and Angelina provides a cheery "Well done!" at the end of each routine. The disc is rounded out with two simple games: a Matching Game (find a match for a picture under a series of numbered cards) and Dress-up, where girls (or boys) can help Angelina change her shoes, dress and accessories. All in all, it's a very girly enterprise, and said girly girls and aspiring ballerinas will eat it up. --Mayna Bergmann
